I have always fantasized about a new type of country, but because of my indifference to politics, this fantasy has been frozen. Countries, like laws, are not there from the beginning. Individuals need to unite for a country to emerge. Individuals lose some rights, and the state gains power above the individual. On one hand, the state claims to meet the needs of individuals, but on the other hand, it deviates from these needs due to power. In this sense, the state is a legitimate violent organization, a contradiction between justice and evil. These predecessors have described it. Ultimately, the state should be just. Justice is the trend of giving everything its due. For human society, what is due is the interchangeability between individuals, the basis of the relationship between the group and the individual, and the basis of justice. The state always makes a promise to the individual. Or rather, the decision-making body of the group has always promised the individual. Safety, order, freedom, independence... Some are bullied to death, the promise is legal judgment; some engage in terrorism, the promise is police suppression; some are invaded by foreigners, the promise is military resistance; some are poor, the promise is economic development... The reasons for the rise of each type of state at each stage are different. Capitalism, tribal society, feudal society, nation-state, etc. all count. Saving people from the brink of extinction and other such situations. Depending on the reasons for its rise, during the time when the main contradictions remain unchanged, it is a new state if it is different, otherwise it is an old state. As for what a new type of state is? Obviously, this requires a great deal of imagination. Because society is evolving, demands are diverse. If you want to maintain the existing state, crises and wars are the easiest way to consolidate consensus. But as long as human society continues to progress, this stage will definitely pass. To meet more needs, more differentiated needs. More forms of states will emerge. Not based on territory, sovereignty. On the other hand, the satisfaction of basic needs and convergence will make a pan-national form more solid. So we see that the satisfaction of basic needs is a watershed for a state. If it cannot be satisfied, there will be more wars. Still trying to lock people into the concept of nation-state and before with basic needs. If satisfied, then we can move on to the next level. These are indeed quite boring. Rulers want war, restrict basic needs, and control the people for their own benefit. This may be true for rulers, but the basis of justice in human society is that individuals are interchangeable. The satisfaction of basic needs and the leveling of value disparities may not be achieved in the short term, but this should not be too far-fetched.
